U- UNDER my bed you will find: boxes of winter clothes

V- The last time I VACUUMED was: Monday I think but I sweep everyday we only have carpet in the bedrooms

X- I wish I had X-TRA: bathroom yeah 1 bathroom for 4 people

Y- My YARD is: is good but someone needs to finish the patio (hint hint)

Prom

Saturday was Brinsley's prom I think she looked beautiful :D

Sunday was spent at the lake after two very stressful days

Wordless Wednesday

Not completely wordless I guess I am just going to keep repeating those words to myself

salsa time

Since summertime is right around the corner I thought I would share my homemade salsa recipe I have posted it before but its so good that I thought it was worth a repost :D

6 to 8 med to large Roma tomatoes or 2 large cans of crushed or whole tomatoes

2 cloves of garlic - minced

Green bell pepper -cut thinly

1 jalapeno pepper chopped (remove the seeds for less heat)

1 med onion chopped thinly

1/4 c. or less or more depending on your taste of cilantro

juice of one lime

salt and pepper to taste

par boil tomatoes (couple of minutes until you can remove skins)

mash tomatoes and bring everything to boil simmer until onions are transparent

puree everything in a blender or food processor

cool in fridge and eat up!

(we grow a salsa garden every year but I have used canned tomatoes it turned out fine)

My First Mini Album

I have been bitten by the scrapbooking bug I just never knew what fun it could be along with art journaling so here is my first mini album

things that have been going on around here Noah got the good character award at school. Brinsley has her first job waitressing. I really hope to update the little shop next week!

We have no plans for the weekend which makes me really happy! I am ready for a relaxing weekend because next weeks going to be crazy prom is next Saturday!

Oh I got my box of goodies from Janel's swap today I loved everything I was like alittle kid at Christmas what a bunch of talented ladies!

Mother's Day

I had a wonderful Mother's Day I hope all of you did as well...Johnny wrote me this poem

You're so many things to so many souls

a sister, a daughter, a friend;

and when I think back on the stories you've told

it's hard to know where to begin.

You're a lover, creator, designer, and chef.

All of these things are you.

It's hard to believe that there's anything left;

that you don't know how to do.

A master, a slave, a free spirit too,

a dancer, a singer, a star!

All of these things are rolled in to you

they're a small part of who you are.

Again I want to thank everyone for your kind words the funeral was yesterday its so sad but I feel like she is no longer suffering.
