I bought this at a new thrift shop in town for 5.00,
I have some plans for this baby!

Valentine Banner

I decided that my mirror needed a Valentine banner
I took some book pages and wrote love with a pink sharpie
hung it on a pink ribbon with a few pompoms
(you can't have too many pompoms in the house right)
it turned out really cute and took less the 30 minutes to make

I hope everyone is having a great weekend!
We have sunshine here finally after a week of rain, so I am headed out to soak it up!

Winter Blues

i don't know about anyone else but after all the Christmas decorations come down, and winter is all around I can get the winter blues.
I decided to add a little Valentine love around the house. In this house we don't have a mantle so i use this little table in our living room as my holiday table. I just add some pompom flowers, a cute saying on a book page, and a candle.
in the den i did the same thing in this cute box that i had been using on the porch. (pompom flowers just make me happy)

some left over candy canes in the kitchen in a mason jar with a cute paper heart
also started working on some cute treats for my friends

Welcoming a New Year

Well 2014 had its ups and its downs here is a little review
Watched lots of football, crocheted, enjoyed the last of the herbs
 Celebrated at big birthday
 had a great fall/halloween
enjoyed the holidays , with lots of kitty love
I have decided not to make any resolutions for the year but a lot of small goals every month

Spend more time here
Take more pictures with my camera not my phone
(I know this is going to be a hard one)
Finish my afghan
Start planning our garden

What are some of your goals/resolutions for 2015?

*I realized the pictures are from the last couple of months hence the reason I need to start using my camera not my phone lol

Christmas At The Library

Hey everyone! Not sure if anyone remembers me or not but I'm back! I don't know why I have not blogged in so long but I am ready to get back to it. I thought I would share how we celebrated Christmas at work (I work with some pretty crafty people) so here we go...
 Pam's book tree
 our infamous book tree
 another view
I turned a display case into a fireplace ( I plan on doing a post to share how I did this)
my wreath made out of pages from a book
Hope you enjoyed my little tour of the library at Christmas!
Bye for now

Valentine's Day at the Library

I saw this idea on Thinkgeek so I thought it would be perfect for us to do at work!

all the staff picked out books that they have enjoyed reading. I wrapped them all in plain brown paper slapped on some hearts and stickers
 then labeled the books

check out this book, take it home, and unwrap it. Show it your favorite spots to read, share you favorite snacks or show it off to your friends.

Who knows, maybe there's a future for the two of you?

this book seeks (insert genre) lovers.

Cute right!
Did I mention I love my job!!!

Dresser redo

Here is our weekend project that I mentioned in my last post
It started with Noah's old dresser somehow he managed to break two of the drawers but I knew it still had some life in it :)
we painted it Dove white
Johnny remove the middle piece of wood that held the drawer
and added a board for a shelf
next we added contact paper to the back

and now I have a stand for my popcorn machine
yes I have noticed that we need to finish painting the bottom lol but otherwise

I love it!!
Watchcha' you think?
